About Me!

Thomas Thorne

For the past five years, I’ve been studying media first at Lincoln College doing a Diploma in Creative Media Production and later three years at the University of Cumbria studying for a degree in Film and Television Production. While taking part in different projects viewable here on my portfolio. Most of the projects I’ve worked on were more factual based content over drama.

Now I’ve moved on to study a post-graduate masters degree in Media Production at York St. John University. While I’m studying I am actually looking for work in film and television to pursue my career choices.

Work Experience

Lady Anne Clifford and Pendragon Castle.
A project filmed in Kirkby Stephen on Westmorelands Dales day about Lady Anne Clifford and her history in the area.
Camera Operator and Editor.

Look Wilder
A wildlife TV show like country file, made in partnership between the University of Cumbria and the Cumbria Wildlife Trust.

As a scout leader, I volunteer as a youth commissioner, a management position where I represent the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers on the executive committee as a trustee of the charity at a local capacity. The position itself involves leadership of both adult volunteers and young people, along with managing the adult volunteers ensuring they are adapting to the new 2018 national strategy. As well as being a district youth commissioner, I am also the Beaver Scout Leader at my local group, where I teach the Beavers many different skills for life.
